Ed Technology Specialists is a charity-minded, for-profit professional development company affiliated with Andrews University. Our specialists are experienced educators who are experts on integrating technology into schools. We are not just third party consultants with no experience in the classroom. We are real veteran educators who live and breathe what we teach. All of our team members are authorized Google Education Trainers or Google Educators with extensive experience in leading professional development training sessions.
Our Charitable Work
We keep charitable giving at the forefront of all we do. It is what compels us and motivates us to expand our business every day. We donate on a quarterly basis to Hope House and Island Harvest. As our business grows, we will donate to more and more local charities, local to the teachers who take our classes.
Hope House Ministries' mission is to "provide compassionate, comprehensive and competent care for the poor, the marginal, and the wounded among us... Specifically, we are committed to young people and families in crises, pregnant women and mothers and babies in crisis and all other wounded people, within our society, who are seen as abandoned and neglected."
Island Harvest is the largest hunger relief program on Long Island. It provides food and services to people who are hungry, and a voice for people who are in need. By relying on volunteers, in-kind services, and donated food, they devote more than 95 cents of every dollar contributed directly to their programs.
Ed Technology Specialists is proud to be able to support communities around it's schools by donating a portion of its gross revenue to these causes. We feel that this is more important than anything else we do, and we will continue to strive to grow, to collect more revenue, and to donate even more to the wonderful local charities that support our communities.
We offer online professional development courses as well as graduate courses through Andrews University, a fully accredited university by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). We donate 7% of our gross revenue to local charitable partners. We specialize in the integration of the latest educational technology into schools, including Google Apps for Education. Our online courses help prepare educators in the implementation of Google Apps for Education, 1:1 device initiatives, and the integration of the latest Web 2.0 and educational apps into the classroom.
